What is it and what can you do to help?

THE NEED

HISTORY
Pine Grove Community Church building was originally constructed in 1956 by Rhinelander’s Polish

Catholic community to serve both their church and parochial school. PGCC was founded in 1979 by

believers from various Christian traditions including Lutheran, Methodist, Catholic, Anglican, and

Baptist backgrounds.

PROBLEMS
PGCC is in need of replacing the boiler system because the current system is so outdated that we can no longer acquire parts for it, and it is at risk of failure. It must be updated in order to keep PGCC functioning.

Another system will be required to work in conjunction with this boiler system - either RTUs (roof top units) or a modular system (installed in front of the church).

SOLUTIONS
A Facilities Team has been assembled and will continue to work with mechanical professionals to evaluate system needs, review contractor proposals, develop phased implementation plans, and ensure the project meets long-term integrity.

In 2018, the PGCC congregation purchased the current building, quickly retiring the mortgage through sacrificial giving and faithful stewardship.

While the congregation has continued to maintain and improve building infrastructure, the HVAC project has remained a priority.

OUR VISION

We exist to glorify God by trusting Him to use our fundraising ministry aimed at raising as much of the Phase 1 $420,000.00 for the Pine Grove HVAC project by:

  • prayer

  • gratitude

  • participating together in a ministry that draws the church together

  • asking the church to carefully look at how we relate to money

  • loving those from whom we request funds

  • and growing out faith by taking on the challenge of showing donors how this project furthers the mission of the church.

CALL TO ACTION

We will be praying for God to lead us to opening our hearts for what this HVAC project means to the Pine Grove Church community.

Our call to action is to pray individually and together as a community of believers that we will give what we have decided in our heart to give.

"Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

financial education dates

A formalized fundraising committee has been established. Current strategies include congregational giving and applying for grants.

PGCC has a longstanding history of managing well its financial gifts, charitable giving, and financial stewardship. It is the fundraising

committee’s priority to model that stewardship while protecting the long-term sustainability of the church’s ministry.
